I'm currently a transfer student at the California State University in Northridge majoring in History and English. My goal is to become an educator either at the community college level or at the high school level. I am a member of Amnesty International (visit www.amnestyusa.org). I want to open people's eyes to certain atrocities that are going on in the world. I would like to inspire someone to do something great for humankind. I know that there are a lot of kids in school who don't care about the required texts in the classrooms but I can recall a few teachers who opened up my eyes to current social issues that I feel can be resolved if more people were just openminded and understanding and aware. I guess that most importantly I want to make some kind of positive change in this world before I leave it. I'm also trying not harm anyone or anything. On that note, I'm vegetarian and I don't believe in violence. Love earth and all those she nurtures.
